The fiscal cliff is perceived as the End of the World as We Know it, but it involves spending cuts of just 100 billion. That´s less than 10 per cent of the annual deficts of any of the last five years. If reducing our spending by just 10 per cent will wreck the economy, just think what would happen if we actually tried to balance the books. Revert to the stone age?
