MORNING BRIEFING: Stabby weekend makes Monday not seem so bad

- One man stabbed another man four times this weekend at the Spokane Valley Hooters. Buzzkill, man — don't we all just go to Hooters for a good time? 

- A fight down in Pullman resulted in two men being stabbed: one in the chest and one in the butt. Yes, you read that right. (KXLY)

Whoops: the Spokane County Jail accidentally released this guy — then promptly deployed US Marshalls to haul him back in. (Bloglander)

High fives all around: A Spokane Valley woman takes two medals in the Special Olympics World Games in South Korea — gold in alpine downhill and bronze in the giant slalom. (KREM)

Loyal Bulldog fans are probably still up in arms about the closure of the Bulldog Tavern (most recently called the University Bar & Grill). But an awesome local coffee shop announced this weekend that they'll be taking over the space for a new GU District hangout. (KXLY)
