Donut Parade

Under its third ownership since 1968, this local landmark offers a pared-down but thoughtful collection of classics: old fashioneds, maple bars, cake donuts, apple fritters, cream and jelly-filled donuts, chocolate flavored, plain glazed, powdered sugared, and versions topped with frosting and sprinkles. Individually priced between $1 and $2.50, donuts can, of course, also be ordered by the dozen, either in a pre-assorted box ($12) or by customers' choice; the latter option is priced individually by donut with a 15 percent discount on the total.
