First Friday

We say this a lot in these pages: if you’ve not gone before, you really should get out and experience First Friday — we mean this weekend. Now that nice weather has returned, the number of participating First Friday galleries is rising. For April’s event, a new group exhibit called “Very Carefully” opens at the Chase Gallery at City Hall, featuring pieces created in a variety of media from recycled materials to wood carvings, all displaying precise attention to detail. Then, the always interesting Kolva-Sullivan Gallery hosts work by EWU alumni Robert Kraut and Robin Dare, respectively working in “paintskins” and image collage. But that’s only brushing the surface of this month’s events. Full event details and descriptions at inlander.com/firstfriday.
