The key word there is "intelligent." While we recognize that many otherwise dignified human beings unavoidably revert to their third-grade selves upon entering an anonymous forum, we expect better of our users. To that end...
We will remove submissions that contain any of the following:
- Potentially libelous statements.
- Obscene, explicit, or racist language including hate speech.
- Personal attacks, insults or threats. Engage the idea; don't attack the thinker.
- Commercial product promotions.
- Information taken from another source without permission.
- Private personal information published without consent (though it is impossible to guarantee your complete anonymity while using this site).
- Comments and hyperlinks unrelated to the topic of the forum. Stay on point. Don't hijack a comment thread for your own uses.
- Excessive foul language.
- Comments that make obviously false or unsubstantiated allegations, or that purport to quote people or reports where the purported quote or facts are not publicly known.
- ALL-CAPS RANTS. Use of all caps is online shouting, and it may result in removal of your comment.
Length
Please try to keep your remarks brief. We may remove comments that are so long as to hijack the flow of conversation.
