In Stratford-Upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, neighbors Miss Capulet and Mr. Montague are feuding over whose garden is the best. The garden gnomes that decorate each neighbor's garden continue the rivalry when the humans aren't looking, and neither gnomes from the Red or Blue gardens get along. So, when Gnomeo (James McAvoy), a Blue, and Juliet (Emily Blunt), a Red, fall in love, they have more obstacles to overcome than just lawnmowers and pink plastic flamingoes.
