Spokane Folklore Society's Traditional New Year's Eve Dance, Woman's Club, 1428 W. Ninth. Contra dancing and potluck snacks will be featured at this non-drinking/smoking event on Dec. 31 from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Entertainment will be provided by Wild Dogs in the Marsh and River City Ramblers. Ballet and Bubbly, The Met, 901 W. Sprague. New Year's at the Convention Center, Coeur d'Alene Resort. Starting at 7 p.m. the resort is offering a New Year's Eve package for $160 which includes a no host social, a grand buffet and dancing to "Nobody Famous. " It is only $12.50 for dancing only. Beverly's at the Resort offers dinner, a room, and dancing to Robert Vaughn for $499 including breakfast. The Festival at Sandpoint is offering this event featuring The Swing Street Band and the Swing Shift Quartet on Dec. 31 from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Hors d'oeuvres, a dessert bar, a no-host bar, party favors and souvenir champagne glasses are just part of the fun. Dance lessons will be available throughout the evening with Dave and Tammy Gunter and All Star Photo will be on hand to snap that commemorative New Year's Eve photo.
