Finger food is taking on a new meaning in North Spokane with Ethiopian restaurant One Love, tucked in the corner of the Conoco on the Newport Highway. Owned and operated by mother and son Mentwav Hailu and Bruk Tafere, natives of Ethiopia, the restaurant is very traditional — there are no utensils, but there is a customary hand-washing ceremony. A signature dish is yebere siga tibs — a pile of steaming cubes of sautéed beef blended with spices, onions, green pepper, tomato garlic and butter, lined by injera, a sourdough flatbread made of teff flour.
