Legally Blonde II: Red, White and Blonde -- Omigod, what darling shoes! Reese Witherspoon is back as the oh-so-perky Elle Woods, who's just landed a job as aide to high-powered Congresswoman Sally Field. While navigating the sharky waters of Washington, D.C., politics, Elle is befriended by a wise hotel doorman (Bob Newhart) and learns how to stand up for her beliefs (i.e. "Animal testing is, like, wrong!!!") Rated: PG-13

Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas -- Let the toy marketing begin! This animated feature follows the adventures of dashing, seaworthy Sinbad (Brad Pitt) as he tries to escape the malevolent mischief of the Goddess of Chaos (Michelle Pfeiffer), save his best friend (Joseph Fiennes) and keep from putting the moves on the ship's first mate (Catherine Zeta-Jones). Rated: PG

*** Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines -- The machines do indeed rise near the end of the second sequel to The Terminator. But unlike the attack of the clones near the end of you-know-what, this film works well, with plentiful supplies of action and entertainment. Big Arnold is back, again protecting John Connor (Nick Stahl), along with unwilling accomplice Kate Brewster (Claire Danes), this time from the new and improved killer cybernetic organism, the T-X (supermodel Kristanna Loken). An insane car chase is accompanied by deadly mayhem, visual gags, and lots of Arnold one-liners. (ES) Rated R
