Palouse Choral Society: Carl Off's "Carmina Burana"
When: Fri., April 15, 7:30-9 p.m. and Sun., April 17, 4-5:30 p.m. 2016
In 1936, Carl Orff set to music 24 poems from Carmina Burana, a manuscript of bawdy, irreverent, and satirical poems from the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries. Orff's challenging masterpiece is now a staple of classical choral music rarely performed in our region. Come hear Palouse Choral Society's last concert conducted by beloved artistic director Dr. Michael Murphy. April 15, 7:30 pm and April 17, 4 pm.
