It’s hard to describe just how big a star Pat Benatar was in her heyday, delivering hit albums through the ’80s and filling the radio with a nonstop stream of chart-toppers like “Heartbreaker,” “Invincible” and “We Belong.” On MTV, she was one of the few women in heavy rotation for the first few years of the channel’s existence. Benatar’s songwriting partner, guitarist Neil Giraldo, is also her husband, and while her commercial success has tapered off, the classically trained vocalist and her hubby have continued making new music, and taking the old tunes out on the road.
