Ric Gendron’s vibrant paintings have been on the road for more than two years now, but his 30-year career’s work is coming home. Gonzaga’s Jundt Art Museum hosts the work of the Spokane artist, a dual member of the Colville and Umatilla tribes, through this spring. Gendron’s expressionist paintings and prints tell the story of his people’s rich heritage in a contemporary style, with common palettes of fiery oranges and cool, cerulean skies splashed with ruby reds and emerald greens.
