Lost Comrade -- Seems like it's always the young ones, the bold ones, the talented, the one with the brightest future and the sharpest wit -- they're always the ones to go first.

In this case, it's someone who stole the stage, who owned the spotlight and made the crowd go wild. He was the one whose name everyone was sure would be in lights. He lived his music.

Chris Reynolds, the guitarist for the Sandpoint-based band No Cover, died of natural causes in his sleep on March 2. He was 19.

The band and his music were his passion, having recorded nearly 100 songs over four years with No Cover. They were a BOBfest staple, known and loved by fans for Reynolds' technical, difficult guitar playing, complex solos and for his tendency to bleed on the strings of his PRS guitar from playing so hard and fast. He took the title in guitar competitions at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and at various Canadian festivals. No Cover recently purchased a truck for their summer cross-country tour, and had been recording each weekend at their hand-built studio.

You can post messages and memories of Chris, and view photos of him at www.nocovermusic.com. And from us: This is our standing ovation.

Western Culture in Decline -- "Before we got married, we were on tour, and we were just like kids, ordering room service, saying, 'Let's go out tonight.' Then, all of a sudden, you have this home, you have the kids [Federline's two children from a previous relationship], you have to get the diapers, get the dog to the vet. It's this reality. Like omigod, I have to tell the maid to buy diapers and get the pool boy to walk the dog? Can't I just make out with Kevin all the time? Being married sucks." --Britney Spears on marriage
