If the post-Oscar season has left you feeling a cultural void in your viewing habits, check out the Spokane Jewish Cultural Film Festival, featuring three film screenings at the darling Magic Lantern Theatre. On Thursday, March 27, the festival kicks off with Ballad of the Weeping Spring, a hit Israeli film about a musician struggling to get his band back together 20 years after a tragedy tore them apart. March 29 brings in Bethlehem the acclaimed thriller about an Israeli secret service agent and his young Palestinian informant. The festival closes out on March 30 with Broadway Musicals: A Jewish Legacy. The documentary looks into the influence of Jewish writers, composers and performers in the world of Broadway.
