Sandpoint is home to a couple of celebrities, but the Pend d'Oreille Winery is a local favorite. Consistently award-winning, POW offers daily (free) tastings of all its wines, tours of the facility, and wines by the glass. Live music is routine on Fridays and Saturdays in the early evening (5ish to 8ish), and there's almost always some kind of art for sale on the walls. And, as of fall 2010, there's now a cafe here, run by former Brix chef Katie Jimenez. (CR)
