Recovering after a devastating fire, Ferguson’s has renewed, but not replaced its classic American diner food, all wrapped in a shiny — yet nostalgic — new interior. Traditional sandwiches like the patty melt and hamburger top the charts, but the Salisbury steak, meat loaf, bone-in ham steak and house-made mashed potatoes have been especially popular. The milkshakes are made to order out of the original machine — installed in 1941 and, fittingly, the only appliance not destroyed in the fire.
