If you haven't started saving your pennies in a "fun fund" for this summer, you might want to start. Because within the last two days, we've heard about a truckload of unbelievable shows happening here (or, near here) this summer.
OK, first: Northern Quest definitely upped its cool factor with the announcement of its Pepsi Outdoor Summer Concerts series. Check this out:
Saturday, June 25: The Judds
Thursday, July 14: Steve Miller Band
Sunday, July 31: Willie Nelson and Family
Saturday, August 6: The Beach Boys (part of their 50th Anniversary Tour)
Friday, August 12: Reba McEntire, Sunny Sweeney
Thursday, August 18: Toby Keith, Eric Church
Friday, August 26: Santana, Michael Franti
Yeah.
Pull your stomach out of your shoes and get over to Ticketswest.com to get tickets. The Judds went on sale yesterday, but all of the other shows go on sale on Tuesday, May 17. They're all $55.
Moving along, LiveNation just announced this morning an incredible — incredible — show for Saturday, July 30 at the Gorge: Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon and Meat Puppets. Dude! Tickets are $65 and go on sale on Saturday, May 14 at LiveNation.com or through Ticketmaster.
And last, for those of you still rocking nu-metal on your headphones, Korn will play a big-ass show on Friday, August 26 at the Post Falls Greyhound Park, with Five Finger Death Punch, All That Remains, Volbeat, Redline Chemistry and Madlife. Those tickets go on sale tomorrow (May 6) at 10 am at ticketfly.com.
