MORNING BRIEFING: David Letterman retiring, Alexie book banned, pit bull attack

It’s back to business as usual — the Mariners lost last night to the A’s in the 12th inning. Ugh. (ST) But it's just nice to have the game back (see below), it means summer is coming. The Mariners home opener against the Angels hits next Tuesday.
