Veterans Day is today.

-We may not have an Ikea built in the Inland Northwest anytime soon, but with a new startup business called Urban Creek Delivery area residents can at least now have Ikea furniture delivered to Spokane for half the price.

According to a new study from the Office of Civil Legal Aid, 70 percent of low-income households in Washington face at least one civil legal issue per year, and more than half do not receive the legal help they need. This shows that people’s civil legal needs have tripled since Washington’s first study in 2003. (Spokesman-Review)

Marcus Rael, who triggered a highway gun battle in Post Falls with police in June 2014, took a plea deal and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Rael must serve 25 years before he is eligible for parole. (KREM)

A private charter jet with nine people on board fell from the sky and crashed into an Akron, Ohio, apartment building Tuesday. There are no survivors. At the time, no one was home in the apartment building and no one else was injured.

An 8-year-old Birmingham, Alabama, boy has been charged with murder of a 1-year-old girl allegedly left in his care. The girl’s 26-year-old mother, who had left to go to a night club with a friend, was also charged with manslaughter. According to police, the child died from blunt force trauma to the head, and internal injuries.

Another Republican presidential debate went down last night, this time on Fox Business Network, and the candidates were quizzed mostly on economic policy. Here’s the AP fact checking the debate.

One of the highest art sales ever: A former taxi driver turned billionaire art collector, confirmed he was the buyer of the painting of a nude woman by Amedeo Modigliani called Nu couché that sold for $170.4 million at Christie’s New York earlier this week. See that painting here.
