Bunk investigation: Erin Jacobson, the assistant city attorney who repeatedly heard complaints about Frank Straub's behavior will also not participate in the city's investigation into Straub's behavior. 

Envision Spokane warned for violation of state law

• Three overdose deaths in three hours on Wednesday in the Spokane has law enforcement warning of a "lethal batch." However police declined to identify the type of drugs that apparently contributed to the deaths. (Spokesman-Review

• Community members criticize Mayor David Condon and temporary SPD leader, Jim McDevitt, for lack of transparency and racial bias. 

• At least five people are dead, and at least three more are injured after gunmen opened fire on a backyard party in a Pittsburg suburb last night. Police are still looking for the shooters. A motive is not known at this time.
