LIVE BANDS | The mighty Wye Oak comes to Spokane, and the Maryland duo always puts on a fine show, whether delivering the older guitar-bass tunes that made their Civilian album a classic, or the more electronic-fueled sounds of recent works like Tween. MUSIC EVENTS | Class up your week while enjoying a beautiful night under the stars (we hope) when Mozart on a Summer's Eve makes its annual stop at Manito Park for two nights, starting Tuesday.
LIVE MUSIC | If you're over Sandpoint way, get to The Hive for one of the highlight shows of the summer, courtesy of Steve Kimock, leading the band with the clever name Kimock. The guy is a guitar master who's tour in various Grateful Dead offshoots in addition to writing his own tunes on a variety of stringed instruments.

THEATER | Central Valley High School is hosting the Spokane Valley Summer Theater's production of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, which is indeed a musical retelling of Buddy Holly's story.
COMMUNITY | The Outdoor Movies at Riverfront Park goes big tonight with a screening of Jurassic World, the monster-sized hit of last summer.
Thursday, July 14
THEATER | The Modern Theater's Spokane branch tackles the classic tale Man of La Mancha, winner of five Tony awards.
WORDS | Sherman Alexie swings by his old stomping grounds for an event at The Kenworthy in Moscow; he'll be at the Bing on Friday. He'll be reading and signing his new book Thunder Boy Jr.
