A Democrat running for Congress walked into a gun show in Virginia and purchased a semi-automatic rifle, similar to the one he carried while serving in the military, in a matter minutes. No background check required. And he filmed it. (Washington Post)

Stole from the rich
The former personal assistant to one of the richest men in Spokane now owes his boss almost $1 million. Bryan Reilly, 26, apparently stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry from real estate tycoon Harlan Douglass. The money Reilly now owes Douglass is the result of a civil case brought by Douglass. Reilly is still facing criminal charges. (Spokesman-Review)

'Pimping us out'
Male sponsors and suite holders were invited to ogle a Washington Redskins cheerleaders' topless photoshoot. Some of the cheerleaders were then told to accompany some of the men to a nightclub. (New York Times)
