Huge cheers to the firemen and first responders who put out the fires on
East 19th last week. Fighting the fires in full gear, air tanks/masks,
90kknd temperatures and trying to save what you could of the three homes
was nothing less than heroic!! I am a neighbor and appreciate what you do -
not only did you save the rest of the block from going up, but one of your
units stayed as long as you needed to make sure there were no hot spots and
that the homes were secured properly. I realize you do this on a daily
basis but sometimes it takes a wake-up call to remember to say "thank you!"
