She just has really particular tastes. So a lot of times it's just good to go shopping with her and have her tell me what she likes.

Last year I got her a pot for her kitchen and she had to return it.

Why clothing?
It's not what she wants. What I think she wants, she doesn't want.
So what do you usually get her?
I usually give her money and tell her to go get it herself.

My mom because she's a woman — that's just by default harder for me to figure out — and she also has money, so there's nothing I can buy her that she can't buy herself.
What do you end up doing for a gift?
Asking one of my older sisters what they would get her.
