The five-episode series culminated with the professional and life-long baker, along with his Hallmark star partner from the network's hit drama When Calls the Heart, Pascale Hutton, being named winners. Webster, who currently works for Sysco Spokane as a consulting chef, went home with a $25,000 grand prize.
Christmas Cookie Matchup is the third televised baking show Webster has competed on in the past year, and the second he's won. Last year he appeared on two different Food Network holiday baking shows, Holiday Gingerbread Showdown and Christmas Cookie Challenge, the latter of which he won, with a $10,000 prize.
Webster celebrated his accomplishment on Hallmark's Christmas Cookie Matchup with family, friends and supporters during a season finale watch party Wednesday night at Embers by the Lake in Hauser.
"I got to spend last night with my loved ones to ring in the news. I had family come in from all over Northern California and spent the evening eating and drinking great food out at Embers pizza with about 40 of my nearest and dearest," Webster tells the Inlander.
"The energy in the room was so awesome. Of course I knew the outcome, but getting to experience it with everyone made it a brand new experience. The support from the city is amazingly overwhelming and humbling and I can’t wait to keep supporting Spokane and Washington," he continues.
