The Flaming Lips reschedule their Fox Theater show for March 19, 2021

Calling all fearless freaks!

Mark your calendars: The Flaming Lips have rescheduled their now-canceled April gig at the Fox Theater for March 19, 2021. Considering that the last two weeks have felt like a year unto themselves, it might seem like a ways away, but 1) the Lips' live shows are worth the wait, and 2) we'll need their brand of Technicolor psychedelia more than ever.

If you've ever seen the Lips in the flesh, you're missing out on a real trip, an explosion of glitter, balloons, costumes, colorful lights and frontman Wayne Coyne's human-sized hamster ball, which he gets inside and rolls out into the crowd. The band recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their great 1999 album
The Soft Bulletin, so perhaps they'll continue their focus on that record into next year.

Already bought tickets? No worries, then: Hang onto them for this new date. If you didn't purchase them last time around, they range from $35 to $65 and go back on sale tomorrow, March 31. Visit the Fox's website or call the box office at 624-1200.
