Bride & amp; Prejudice -- Jane Austen's Pride & amp; Prejudice goes Bollywood in this lively re-telling of the classic romantic tale. In this Indian musical version, ol' Mrs. Bennet is eager to find suitable husbands for her five daughters. And when the rich gentlemen Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy come to live nearby -- hoo boy! -- the Bennets get high hopes. But then circumstances threaten to stifle any romance. Rated PG-13





Hostage -- Looks like Bruce Willis is putting on the old Die Hard suit once again in an effort to shore up his sagging action-hero status. Here he plays Jeff Talley, a former LAPD hostage negotiator who has taken a job as the police chief of a sleepy suburban town. But now wouldn't you know it, just as his character gets settled into his relatively sedate new life, a botched convenience store robbery forces him to rely on his old skills. Rated R





The Passion of the Christ Recut -- Despite the fact that this new cut of Mel Gibson's 2004 Biblical epic deletes six minutes of particularly gruesome footage, The Passion -- a protracted representation of the last 12 hours of Jesus Christ's life -- remains a loud, thudding lockstep depiction of torture and murder with little about philosophy, goodness or celebration. Gibson's Gospel is one of brutality and suffering. (RP) Unrated





Robots -- The makers of Ice Age return with a computer-animated fable about a na & iuml;ve young robot (the good guy) heading for the big city to make it as an inventor, but clashing with a money-hungry industrialist (the bad guy). The story is clich & eacute;-ridden, the general sound is headache-inducing, most of the acting is flat (though Greg Kinnear is good) and the script desperately wants to be hip. (ES) Rated PG
