Hangouts

Off-Campus: In Moscow, the place to hang-out is the Palouse Empire Mall. Offering food, clothes and movies, the mall has everything that a Vandal would need. Students can always be found at the various coffee shops and restaurants around town, especially Branegan's, Shooter McGee's and Gambino's Italian Restaurant.

On-Campus: The Idaho Commons Student Union is the primary place to hang out on campus. This facility houses the food court, which serves everything from fast food to full meals, a market place, the campus bookstore, an art gallery, and two coffee shops. Students gather at Common Ground and Joe's Cafe to hear the buzz -- and get a caffeine buzz.

Events

September is filled with sporting events for all of the Vandal athletic teams, including the battle of the gridiron between the Vandals and the Cougars on Sept. 7 at 2 pm at Martin Stadium in Pullman. Dad's Weekend is September 20-22.

New in 2002

The J.A. Albertson Building, a new $15 million, 55,000-square-foot facility, now houses the College of Business and Economics. The $250,000 remodeling of the amphitheater next to the Shattuck Arboretum is complete and it will now serve as gathering grounds for classes, barbecues and other events. Wireless technology has been installed on campus, and computer facilities have been updated and expanded.
