Best Of

Best Of... 2003

It's time to unveil the winners of our 10th annual Best of the Inland Northwest Readers' Poll. Through a superhuman effort, we've tallied the results from hundreds of ballots, and now it's time to recognize the region's everyday superheroes. These are the folks whose commitment to whatever it is they do -- from baking cookies to scheduling concerts — makes the Inland Northwest such a great place to live. Inside this special pullout section, you'll read about some surprising first-time winners, and you'll learn more about some perennial favorites. Not only do we recognize the first-, second- and third-place finishers, as picked by our readers, but we also cull out some of the top vote-getters from North Idaho. We even offer our own picks, our Editor's Choices. And of course you'll find the results of the Wild Card questions — some thoughtful, some silly. We think this issue is a testament to the quality of life around here — something not to be taken for granted in these trying times. Check our this week's paper and this Web site (over the next few days) to see who you picked as best of the best in the Inland Northwest.
