Pot, pills and a baby — No, that's not the latest Tom Selleck-Steve Guttenberg vehicle. It's a Valley house raided yesterday morning by local law enforcement. Inside, cops found two ounces of marijuana, a bunch of cash, scores of Oxycodone pills and some people smoking Oxycodone. (We know. Weird.) Did we mention the one-month-old baby hanging out in the pill-smoke-filled room? The adults were arrested. (SR)

Financial crisis averted... wait — Nevermind. Despite all the "hard work" put in by our dutiful elected officials — right before they all went on a month-long vacation — financial markets are tumbling with fears of a worsening global economy. (NYT)
