Re: “Blood Sport

Simple minded...pretty sure I didn´t blame your little backyard "sport" for in-school violence...it was a suggested side effect. I could sit here and blame music and video games too but I´m not as ignorant as you are trying to make me. Have fun with your "family" on Saturday. I am going to keep commenting on this as long as you guys do just because this is some of the funniest crap I have ever seen.

Re: “Blood Sport

I thought comment boards were for comments. You seem to be getting a little defensive. I´m sorry I couldn´t litter my response with text message lingo. I never even said that professional wrestlers aren´t athletes. I´m pretty sure it takes a lot of work do do what they do. I guess I´ll just go practice my push ups so I can be as cool as the backyard wrestlers. Oh, and p.s. While you were busy screaming for blood this weekend I took my family on a meaningful outing and shockingly enough we had fun. I just wish they could have seen someone dive off of a roof and break someone´s ribs. I´m just sad you can´t handle a little sarcasm...oh and the last thing is I have no clue if these guys are athletes or not. My main argument is that beating people up in your backyard is not an athletic event. I can´t wait for a follow up article on this crap.

Re: “Blood Sport

The fact that you call this a sport is amazing. Not quite sure why my kids had to be the one´s with the issues, but that´s cool. Maybe I will take charge of my own actions and drag my wife and kids to a backyard spectacle and scream for blood. Maybe if I am lucky my boys will drop out of high school and fulfill their dreams of wrestling on a dirt patch in some awesome back yard like the one in this article. I can climb up a ladder, jump off of my roof onto one of my buddies and guess what??? That will not make me an "athlete" like you seem to think these guys are.

I am also digging the fact that you seem to think I am a sports critic...this is NOT a sport. This is one of the most embarrassing example of Spokane culture I have ever seen. If I was a visitor to this city last week and picked up a copy of the Inlander I would feel nothing but pity.

The people at this moment that I really feel sorry for are the neighbors. Good luck selling a home anywhere near this pit of filth...I am glad everyone seems to have fun that is involved, and hopefully this "brotherhood" is real. All I know is I stopped beating up my brother when I grew up.

I would love to "compete" with your spectacle but I think my time might be better used doing something productive. Maybe I will take my family to a baseball game instead. And maybe, just maybe I will scream for blood so my apparently sheltered kids get an idea of how incredible it must be to hang out in a backyard and watch daddy beat up his "homies."

Re: “Blood Sport

I almost forgot! Here are a couple of my favorite items caught on film from this masterpiece:

1. The construction cones that I am sure they own.

2. The home built casket agaisnt the garage is awesome.

3. The shopping cart loaded with homeade weapons.

4. The sound system looks incredible!

5. I love the shot of the guy adjusting his crotch behind Madd Maxe. Love it!

Re: “Blood Sport

What do you suppose will prevent their children from beating up random people? Or trying one of these stunts on their own? Adults have the ability to reason (I wonder about the adults in this article) but I am willing to bet the tragedy will not be one of these guys hurting an opponent. It will be one of the kids that has to watch this garbage week in and week out doing the same thing to a friend. Ridiculous.

Re: “Blood Sport

This article is a complete waste of time. What a way to showcase the culture of Spokane. I feel sorry for these children and the kids that get beaten by them in school. Mental midgets.
