Re: “Among the People

Why would Mars Hill not partner together and make accommodations for the existing congregation to continue? Our church (Jacob's Well) is about the same size in the English congregation and we host two refugee congregations in the same building each Sunday.

Re: “What our members of Congress have been saying about Syria

Well of course our WA congressional representatives have mastered the art of saying something without really saying anything about their position on war actions in Syria. This is absolutely frustrating to me but not surprising based on their war leadership and voting history.
“Lucky Kentucky” gets Rand Paul who is clear in his leadership and convictions:
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) urged President Obama late Thursday against getting involved militarily in Syria, suggesting that it would be a “big mistake….There are potential repercussions…If he launches this little piddly attack with a few cruise missiles, it won’t stop chemical weapons, but it may well insight a gas attack on Israelis. I think it’s a big mistake…We are not excited to get involved in a new war right now,” he said. “And so, I would do everything I can to stop the president. We should not engage in a war, and we certainly shouldn’t engage in it in an unconstitutional fashion.”

Re: “MORNING BRIEFING: Bombs, Prostitutes and Jackasses

Prostitutes in the Park:
In the age of porn..how does a liberalizing community really deal with prostitution? I think it´s a problem because there is a market for it. What´s the deal? Have you seen the prostitutes in East Central? I live here...the life is horrendous by the looks of those who are suffering from the issues that drive it. Drug addiction, poverty, economy, parentless parenting, on and on...and a sexualized culture that finds a reason to get excited over shampoo to cars.
Dudes talking lovingly to their woman phones:
Doesn´t anyone else kinda get creeped out about these commercials where men are talking to Siri like this? Put Malkovich in his underwear and you got something to talk to your therapist about.

Re: “Fire and Brimstone

Well...poor Whitworth got the slam in this article, too bad, I know some amazing teachers, professors and students that found deeper faith, greater and stronger minds and meaningful purpose in their education and involvement with this University.

Re: “It's Not About the Footprint

I was almost spooked when I turned the page and was confronted with a full size face. Wow, really? Who thought that one up? No knocks on the Prof....just creepy design element. I held up the paper and measured it to my face...yep, it bigger. Strange.

Re: “The Unequal City

“Why is it OK for women to smoke in West Central … whereas if you go to Manito or an affluent area, maternal smoking is not present?” he asks.
Is this question for real?
