The Whitworth University Art Department presents the work of Anna Baer '09, MIT '10. The exhibit features generous white spaces, and vibrant paints and washes. Baer investigates both calm and chaos in her mixed-media abstract painting, creating large-scale works that are beautiful, personal and lively. Based in Germany, Baer uses the nature in and around her as her muse. She has embraced letting go in the art-making process and incorporating stream-of-consciousness writing into her paintings. Opening reception Oct. 5 from 2-3 pm, followed by a lecture by the artist in Lied 102 from 3-4 pm. Through Oct. 18; Mon-Fri 10 am-5 pm, Sat 10 am-2 pm.
