Atman

In this documentary, physically deformed Indian Jamana Lal attempts to travel up the Ganges River. Although his back is twisted and his legs are mere stumps, Lal is determined to deliver his mother's ashes to the spring of the Ganges, believing that he can cleanse his own soul in the process. The trip to the Himalayas proves to be a perilous one, leading many of Lal's traveling companions to abandon him, but he is determined to complete his journey.
