The nonprofit Keep Music Live Washington has done quite a bit of good since the pandemic closed the state’s venues last year, hosting online fundraisers and shining a light on the bleak future of live music without federal aid. Through donations, the organization was able to provide 77 Washington venues with emergency grant money; and to celebrate the occasion, it’s hosting a virtual event hosted by hip-hop legend Sir Mix-A-Lot and Seattle singer-songwriter Rachel Flotard. While the full artist lineup has yet to be announced, grunge icons Pearl Jam will be present by way of never-before-seen concert footage. Virtual admission for the event is free, but donations are gladly accepted.
