Follow the extraordinary life of grizzly bears or dive into a frozen lake with one of the world’s best competition high divers in this year’s Banff Mountain Film Festival. This festival began touring internationally in 1986 when organizers sought to share the creativity with those who couldn’t travel to the Canadian Rockies. The tour kicks off in Alberta at the beginning of fall and then makes its way around the world. The next tour stop is the Panida Theater in Sandpoint with a weekend full of films that range from 60 seconds to 50 minutes. Can’t make it to Sandpoint? No problem! The Bing Crosby Theater is also hosting the festival in February.
