Re: “Captain Planet

I have never seen him running up and down the stands looking for recyclables. All he does is play on the ice during intermission. He was putting on a show for the Inlander story. And Nancy is right, no one likes him. Sorry but it's true.

Re: “League of Justice

Mr. Beggs only received support from ONE Republican City Official and that was Steve Salvatori, who, ironically, is gone now and can't even vote for him. No other Rs endorse him. Also, Mr. Haskell was on the Cheney School Board for 5 years, not 2. Other than that, it is a fine, informative article.

Re: “Regional candidates mingle with workers at annual labor rally

OK, Lulubelle, I accept your challenge! It's Labor UNION. A group of workers who have joined an organization to protect workers rights. And yes, Labor UNION endorsed Larry Haskell knowing his answer regarding 'Right to Work'. Mr. Haskell was honest when he interviewed, as he always is. Mr. Beggs, on the other hand, could not commit to an answer when asked if he supported Collective Bargaining. To many, this means he does not. Mr. Haskell has been a UNION member dating back to 1969 when he joined the UFCW in Seattle at the age of 15. Outside of his 21 years of military service Mr. Haskell has always been a UNION member. Mr. Beggs has never been a UNION member. Mr. Haskell knows and supports UNION. Mr. Beggs knows profiting from victims. And as for 'Right To Work', I would hardly call it "union busting". If a UNION is run with integrity and fairness to all, that UNION can stand on its own and attract members. Are you against a person having 'rights'? Or just 'rights' that you disagree with?
