Book Launch: Coeur d'Alene Beautiful and Progressive

A frequent speaker at the library, author and local historian Robert Singletary shared research for the book in a series of lectures earlier this year. The book traces the historical development of Coeur d’Alene from its beginning on the outskirts of Fort Coeur d’Alene, later renamed Fort Sherman, in 1878 to a modern and progressive city on the north shore of beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene by 1990.
