Carla Peperzak: Her Story

When: Wed., Dec. 2, 6:30 p.m. 2015
Price: $15 suggested donation
Spokane’s 91-year-old Carla Olman Peperzak is not your average great-grandmother. She’s a Holocaust survivor, serving as a Dutch resistance officer during World War II, and will share that story next week at the MAC. Peperzak helped hide dozens of Amsterdam’s Jewish residents from the Germans during the war. She also forged identification papers and assisted in publishing a newsletter of Allied Forces activities. In May, during the 70th anniversary of WWII’s end, she was honored for her courageous efforts. The telling of her story is coupled with a screening of With My Own Eyes, a documentary featuring other Northwest Holocaust survivors.

Wed, Dec. 2, at 6:30 pm • $15 suggested donation • Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture • 2316 W. First • northwestmuseum.org • 456-3931
