CCS International Film Fest: Bliss

A young village girl in rural Turkey who has been raped must be killed to restore honor and dignity to her family and the village. This is in accordance with the ironclad Turkish custom of honor killing. She and her cousin go to Istanbul where he is to execute her. At the heart of the film is the conflict between tradition and modernity, between rural and urban lifestyles.
