Code in the Dark

Computers are the present, and the future. And as such, coding is fast shedding its “nerdy” career label for a much more cool and hip image. (After all, being smart and innovative never goes out of style.) And whether or not you know the difference between CSS and HTML, or Python and C#, that’s OK. Everyone — noob or pro — is invited to Friday’s locally organized developer competition and party, Code in the Dark. With food, drink, live DJs, black lights and plenty of glow gear, attendees are welcome to compete, or just watch and cheer on their coder friends. Ten contestants at a time will go head-to-head in a race to the coding finish line, with the audience voting for the night’s ultimate “Champion of Code.”
