It might look and feel a little different than usual, but organizers of Coeur d’Alene’s annual Oktoberfest celebration are doing their best to safely host the favorite fall celebration despite the pandemic’s upheaval. Instead of uniting under large tents in central areas, this year’s festival is spread out across downtown businesses and restaurants serving traditional Oktoberfest lagers and German foods. The event has also been broken down into four, four-hour ticketed sessions so as to spread guests out across its three-day run. Attendees must also preorder their tickets; no day-of sales are offered. Admission includes a commemorative pint glass and eight, 4-ounce tastings, with extra tasting bundles (four sample pours) for $15.
