CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT: Wilco and Sleater-Kinney's co-headlining tour hits Spokane Aug. 6

Earlier this morning, Sleater-Kinney announced on Twitter that they're hitting the road on a co-headlining tour with Wilco this summer. Great news!

And even better news: They're starting right here in Spokane, at the First Interstate Center for the Arts on Aug. 6.

Tickets will start at $35 and go up to $89.50.

This is pretty typical of Pacific Northwest alt-rock legends Sleater-Kinney, who have jumpstarted their last two tours in Spokane — in 2015 and October 2019. Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy last came through Spokane in 2018 with a solo acoustic show, and per our review, the audience energy was a bit... weird. But apparently not weird enough to keep him away forever, and this upcoming date will be the full band's first Spokane gig since 2012, though they performed at the Festival at Sandpoint in 2015.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 13, through TicketsWest.
