Re: “Rabbit Season

I hope that every single one of the people that commented negativly on this article is 100% vegan. Have you looked at what the animals that you buy at a store go through? They stand in areas smaller than 30"x36" when compaired to size of the aminals, they stand in their own shit up to their knees and they arent even able to sit down. When it comes to butchering, they are stunned with electricity, then put into a "holder" and their throats are slit (while alive) then their tracheas are ripped out. At that point, they are let out of the holder and left to bleed out, while still fully alive and feeling pain. When you compare that to what a home meat rabbit breeder does to their rabbits, then 100% yes the rabbits live a great life. Rabbits cant live together in the same cage, male and female will mate, and same sexes in the cage will kill each other. My rabbits live in my shed, are always clean, have fresh water, hay, and feed. If they get sick, they are given care to be better. Their manure goes to my vermiculture bin to feed my worms, which goes to feed my garden. When it comes to butchering, they are killed immediatly, no bleeding out alive... Their fur gets sold, the meat I eat and fills the freezer, and the rest goes to my dog. After their manure feeds the garden, the rabbits eat whats left from the garden that i dont eat. My rabbits have a great live, only the ones on here that are true vegan can say anything about killing rabbits for food. The rest that bitch and moan about it, can buy there brutally murdered and chemically injected meat from the store, and shut the hell up.
