A workshop to help people with disabilities be prepared in the event of an emergency. While disasters and emergencies affect everyone, their impact on people with disabilities is often compounded by factors such as reliance on electrical power, elevators, accessible transportation, exclusion from shelters, and accessible communication. Learn how to do a personal assessment, develop a concise emergency plan, assemble your “go bag”, and learn how to stay informed. Each participant will receive their own emergency supply starter kit. At the Kootenai County Fire & Rescue Training Center, 5271 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls.
