The huge turnout at the Women’s March on Spokane (and across the world) was a sign of the times for many — not only can feminism survive in the modern era, it can thrive. But for there to be a third- and fourth-wave feminism, there had to be a first. In Emma, historian and playwright Howard Zinn explores the life of one of the foremothers herself, anarchist and feminist Emma Goldman, whose lectures included some radical one-liners like “marriage has nothing to do with love” and “a woman should decide for herself” on birth control in the late 1800s.

March 3-19: Fri-Sat at 7:30 pm; Sun at 2 pm • $10 • Stage Left Theater • 108 W. Third • • 838-9727
