EWU Visiting Writers: Elizabeth Spires

Spires is the Baltimore-based author of six collections of poetry, and has also written six books for children, including "The Mouse of Amherst" and "I Heard God Talking to Me: William Edmondson and His Stone Carvings." Her poems and reviews have appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, American Poetry Review, The New York Times, and Paris Review.
