Bonner County commissioner claims unflattering audio was altered
The YouTube clip in question for Bonner County Commissioner Dan McDonald was recorded during a late 2017 meeting about a proposed silicon smelter, in which McDonald can be heard saying, in reference to the Kalispel Tribe of Indians, that they demand kickbacks and "they're the dirtiest group on the planet." McDonald is now claiming the clip has been edited and may be slanderous, the Sandpoint Reader reports, but those who put the clip online, who are from anti-smelter groups, say the audio is unedited and true to what happened during the meeting.
