Funny Girl

Fanny Brice was one of the most celebrated stars of her time, and since her death she’s been memorialized in a plethora of ways — one of those being the biographical musical Funny Girl. Through the end of March and most of April, Funny Girl is gracing the Spokane Civic Theatre’s main stage, transporting audiences into the heart of New York City. The musical, which features classic Broadway tunes such as “Don’t Rain on My Parade” and “People,” chronicles the life of Fanny Brice as she navigates her newfound — and long sought after — fame and her up and down relationship with pro gambler Nick Arnstein.
