Georgetown Memory Project

Due to the snowstorm in February 2017, the Georgetown Memory Project presentation hosted by the Eastern Washington Genealogical Society was cancelled. The Butler Slave Research Team makes a presentation on the research done to locate Pat Bayonne-Johnson's ancestors, who were enslaved by the Jesuits of Georgetown and sold in 1838 to two plantation owners in Louisiana. The presentation will include traditional research methods as well as those that are unique to African American research.
